Things to do around Henty

About 20-30 minutes drive you will find The Rock, an impressive landmark, rising 250 metres out of the flat lands surrounding the area.

The Rock has important Aboriginal significance and is thought to have been a place where initiation ceremonies had been carried out.

If you are an energetic bushwalkers you will enjoy the climb to the top of the 3 km Yerong Nature Trail where, on a clear day, you can see Mount Kosciuszko and the Victorian Alps.

On your way to the summit you will pass through a variety of vegetation and be guided by signs that will show you the way and point out the highlights. Come climb The Rock

Know as Kengal to the local Wiradjuri people, it is thought to have been a place where initiation ceremonies had been carried out.Energetic bushwalkers will enjoy the climb to the top of the 3 km Yerong Nature Trail where, on a clear day, you can see Mount Kosciuszko and the Victorian Alps. The walk to the top passes through a variety of vegetation communities, with interpretive signs guiding you through the changes and pointing out highlights as you make the assent.
